Rita has been calling Ottawa “home” for the past 25 years.  Rita has been very active in the Ottawa business community working in property development, specifically in the area of landscaping and stonework sales and design.  Prior to starting-up Momentum Athletics, she was a trained cartographer with 12 years experience in the profession.  Many of the design skills and knowledge of land use planning developed as a professional cartographer allowed a smooth transition to this work.  I have enjoyed it.

However, while working on property development projects, Rita discovered that she enjoyed the most working with her clients on home solutions that matched their lifestyles and goals, which was an important part of her work.  As such, Rita has moved over full-time to the real estate business.  She joined Keller Williams Ottawa Realty, a business owned by previous members of Momentum Athletics, and a fast growing, innovative realtor in Ottawa.  Rita joined The Home Team in June 2006 and would not have it any other way.

Born in Brazil of Spanish parents, Maria grew up speaking two languages Spanish and Portuguese.  She has since added English and some French.  Maria has a Master's degree in Curriculum and Teaching from Michigan State University as well as an American Montessori Society teaching certificate. With a background in education and child development, including ten years of teaching experience, Maria has developed a strong sense of understanding other people's needs. This is an invaluable tool in helping people search for their home.

When she's not helping people find a home, Maria keeps herself busy with two active children and all their after school activities, including music, soccer, guides and, of course, hockey.  She knows where parks, playground, pools, rinks, concert halls and other recreational facilities are located, and can help people find a neighborhood that suits their needs. Maria's many years of living in Ottawa have given her a substantial knowledge of the factors that make each part of the city unique and she's ready to work with each client in determining which area will be right for them. 

That's important to her, because Maria's specialty is not buying or selling houses, but helping clients find their perfect home.

Helen was born in Seoul, Korea, but raised in Toronto and is fluent in both English and Korean.  She is proud to call Ottawa home for the last 25 years.  She is a mother of 3 wonderful children.  Through her own and her family’s activities and interests, she has gained in-depth knowledge of the various neighborhoods, schools, services and amenities in Ottawa and the surrounding area. 

She has been in the industry since 2003 and joined Keller Williams in 2006.  Helen brings an incredibly diverse background to the Home Team. Prior to becoming a real estate agent, she was a business owner, fashion designer and banking professional. Her education includes a bachelor of Science from the University of  Toronto and Fashion Design Diploma from L’académie des Couturiers Canadiens in Ottawa.  When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with family, skiing, golf, canvas painting, home renovations and design.
